A Maine native, My love of the outdoors has been lifelong. In the 80’s I discovered a region of Maine know as the North Maine Woods. 3.5 million acres of working forest with roads owned by the logging trucks. The area is know by hunters and fisherman but tends to be too remote for many. In fact, one is more likely to encounter a moose than another human. As a photographer I learned important lessons in understanding animal behavior from people who have spent much time in this region. I’ve had many adventures in a canoe. My favorite being in the water photographing a moose. As you will observe in the galleries I also like photographing my antique Chestnut Canoe.

My goal as a photographer, is to show beauty. From rusting old trucks to the natural beauty of Acadia and more out of the way Maine places. I am lucky to know many “Of the Beaten Path” locations. My goal is to express myself in an authentic way while exploring.
